Over the past 20 years, I have worked across software development, middleware platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, and DevSecOps, helping organizations improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

• LSEG, Garmin – Led infrastructure and DevSecOps automation initiatives using Ansible, AWX, and cloud-native tooling.

Why WLST By Examples blog?

WLST (WebLogic Scripting Tool) is one of the most powerful automation frameworks available to Oracle WebLogic and Fusion Middleware administrators. Built on Jython, it combines the simplicity of Python with the extensive management capabilities of Oracle Middleware platforms.

Over the years, I have seen how effective WLST automation can transform daily administration tasks. Activities that once required hours of manual effort—such as server provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, deployments, health checks, and resource administration—can be completed in minutes through well-designed scripts.

This blog was created to share practical WLST examples, real-world automation solutions, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices gathered from hands-on experience managing Oracle WebLogic Server, SOA Suite, OSB, WebCenter, Portals, and other Fusion Middleware technologies.

For Middleware Engineers and WebLogic Administrators, WLST is more than just a scripting tool—it is a powerful automation companion that simplifies the management of JDBC resources, JMS infrastructure, JVM settings, server lifecycle operations, thread monitoring, deployments, and enterprise-scale administration tasks.
